Classic corpse explosion for necros would be awesome.

Or some sort of transmutation cast on the animated corpses that lowers their hp to ~100 for 1 tick. If it's killed in this time, whoever delivered the killing blow takes some big burst of damage and maybe some chance of being afflicted by decay/atrophy/blister/fester.

Yeah, that would be neat.

Or as an alternative a necro can kill a low mob, cast explode corpse which will be a DoT timed bomb, which can be set by the necro to go off at whatever tick they choose between 1 and 5 ticks. Having the same affects as you mentioned.
