Sleep and exit prompts

[ 9] Zarbosa: Sleep and %e "exit prompt"
Fri Aug 1 06:19:50 2014
To: all
I believe when one is sleeping and being dragged about the realms, they
shouldn't be able to tell where they are being dragged. Your sleeping, how
the heck do you know where I am dragging you. How the heck do you know all
the exits?

If anybody doesn't know what I'm saying. Check your prompt. Sleep. You
still can see the exits. For a PK point of view, even when slept, you can
study the exits really well and you can have an idea on where they are
taking you. I don't think that is right because in a typical world, when
you are asleep, you can't see exits. You don't even know what is going on.

I remember this used to happen for blind as well... and that was changed. I'd think it would make as much sense to change in this case, also.

Re: Sleep and exit prompts

Given the relative ease for sleep to land (and how much more effective sap is than sleep), I'm not really against giving the victim a fighting chance. If we're going to fix the prompt on it, I'd like to see the land rate for the spell decrease since it is THE go to PK gimp ability for anyone that has it.
Yeah? Well, you know, that's just like, your OPINION, man.

Re: Sleep and exit prompts

Or add a small chance of the victim waking up whenever any harmful action is done.
Yea...I get that the victim is 'magically sleeping' but being dragged and pushed around is something else. You're sleeping, not knocked out.
And offensive spellcasting, maledictions should also have a relatively small chance.

This still leaves us with summon as the 'safe' way of moving your sleeping enemy.

Re: Sleep and exit prompts

Regardless of any other indirect variables, being able to see where you are while slept should not be possible and I'm sure this was an oversight when exits and room name was added to prompt.

Re: Sleep and exit prompts

You have a point, and I'd more readily agree if it wouldn't only push more people out of PK than already are gone already. Sleep is already OP and over-relied on by anyone with access to the spell as it's so easy to seal the deal, even with prompts.

Yes I know you feel that way because you already stated it above, but I don't agree with that opinion.

Re: Sleep and exit prompts

It *is* broken and will be fixed. If sleep needs to be looked at otherwise, we can...but the prompt is an issue. Approved prompt fix pending implementation.
