The process of character creation has been rethought, redone, and
hopefully balanced in a way that all characters are viable and reasonably
priced. As part of the creation redo, you should also get the starting
weapon you actually choose when you create a character.
There is a new command 'petition' that allows a mortal to seek attention from
imms that may be available. Please understand that there aren't always imms
available to help you, and this command won't change that fact. Please also
note that immortals have the ability to suspend your ability to petition
as well as other, more exotic, punishments. Please be respectful.
There is a new command 'sayto' that allows you to speak directly to another
character while the others in the room look on. The syntax is 'sayto <character>
<speech>,' and otherwise works exactly like 'say.'
When you're in a shop, you can use the new 'inspect' command, which should work
identically to the 'identify' spell.
To help our builders, the saving problem with '*edit copy' and the various ways
of linking areas should be fixed.
'Banana ward' can now be cancelled.
Only mobs flagged as act_thief can actually pick locks.
Acid pitting on armor has been tweaked to reflect the changes in AC and made into
a temporary effect. No more permanent damage.
'Who' and 'Whois' should show actual level for all mortals instead of AR/BR/IR.
'Affects' will show durations in ticks instead of hours.
Builders can now use mobprogs to improve tradeskills. Check with Dijj for tips.
There are various level changes to spells cast by mobs using special functions.
Two turtle doves and a partridge in a pear tree.
Special thanks to Dijj, Vaemon, and all the people who helped hammer out the changes
